home The Federation of Catholic Teachers is the collective bargaining representative for the lay faculty in 186 elementary schools and 18 high schools in the Archdiocese of New York. We are affiliated with the Office and Professional Employees International Union, Local 153, AFL-CIO. To encourage Catholic schools and the Church to honor their commitments in the area of social justice by providing fair and just compensation and working conditions. To assist members seeking to improve their professional skills and techniques, as well as the quality of education in their schools. To promote cooperation between our members and the Catholic schools at the local and central levels.
