Beth Kingsmill is a wonderful dog trainer who really understands the minds of dogs and their owners. My dog adores her, and would stand on his head for her if she asked. She is utterly professional and willing to help with whatever problems your dog might have. Just thinking we might have our own local "Dog Whisperer."

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I was so pleased with Beth's abilities. She is smooth with transitiion from one situation to another. She is highly skilled in seeing motives and possible situations that could occur by watching dogs' nonverbal as well as verbal behavior. Our first obedience training situation took place in Augusta, Georgia by some other very skilled trainers; but the difference between the ones in Augusta and Jacie's Canine Academy is the personal attention and the sensitivity to the animals. I felt as though Beth was able to show us how to be firm, as we needed to be - the leader of the pack, so to speak - but was able to show us how to do so without being overbearing. She was sensitive to the needs of the animals and to what they were feeling and thinking based on their reactions to certain situations. She put us at ease right away, too. Overall, I rate her at 100% on the following: price was reasonable; skill and knowledge was excellent; communication with humans AND their pets was also excellent. We have a puppy that is WILD, WILD, WILD! We came out of this class able to better control her. About 8 weeks ago, Sunny (the Wild Child) thought she was the head honcho; now, she is still WILD, but she knows when to be wild and when to sit up and take notice, because the REAL head honcho (ME!) has spoken! We also had Beth do some re-training of our 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel, CoCoa. She is an obedient, skittish dog who doesn't feel comfortable around visitors, whether 2-legged or 4-legged. Beth's knowledge and ability to communicate with CoCoa helped us to be able to watch for the signs and keep CoCoa from getting into situations where she feels out of control. In the past, these situations led to CoCoa either lunging/attacking other dogs or running and hiding from them. She'll always be skittish; but now, we know how to control it and ease her fears. BETH-THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We have two happy dogs who love each other and love and respect us more. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICES and look forward to coming back when we need some refresher courses or decide to do more detailed training with the Wild Child!

Highly Recommended for You and Your Dog

I highly recommend this trainer for your dog. Mrs. Beth Kingshill taught me so much more than just basic tricks. My dog was able to learn how to listen to me and obey within just a few weeks. I had private basic obedience lessons at my house, and it was such a convenience. Also, the trainer works around your schedule and is so helpful with trying to solve any behavior problems you may be having with your dog. She is always a phone call or email away with great advice for me. I'm going to take her Manners Class as well, once my dog has all of its vaccinations. I can't say enough good things about her and her training abilities. If you are considering any training for your dog, whether it be basic or advanced, I highly recommend this trainer for you. You are getting so much for your money, and the lessons are very affordable.

Excellent Dog Trainer

Jacie's Canine Academy made a transformational change in my aggressive, out of control, Terrier-Mix dog's behavior. My dog is much calmer and able to listen to instruction from me now. After a 10 week Basic class with Beth, I am so much happier with my dog. I think Beth is an amazing teacher.

Fantastic experience !

We took our 1 year old Sheltie mix to Beth for four 1 hour lessons. She was VERY good with Rosie and it was literally wthin minutes of our 2nd lesson Rosie was sitting on command! Beth was gentle with both Rosie and her owner, going slow and working with us both! I have already reccommended Beth to all my friends with dogs, no matter what their ages. I have signed up our Rosie for more classes in January.

You and your dog will enjoy and benefit from some lessons from Beth!

Basic Obedience Class

I was very pleased with the Basic Obedience Class. It was an 8 week class and due to my crazy schedule, the class was held on Saturday afternoon. Beth Kingsmill was the trainer and was exceptionally patient with both me and my dog. I didn't know what to expect, so it was great that the first lesson was a get-to-know each other and I was provided with a training schedule and a list of needed items for the dog.

In addition to all this, these were the most extensive lessons for the least amount of money in the Statesboro area.

I would strongly recommend Jacie's Canine Academy and Beth Kingsmill to anyone who wants their dog to learn the basics in obedience.

Dakota

I thought i knew everything about dogs and what to do with them - but when i got my dog Dakota, a golden pitt mix, she killed my confidence when it comes to handling dogs. I was about to get rid of Dakota when i came accross a business card for jacie's canine academy and i am so glad i did. If you have any trouble potty training your dog, she is the person to call.. oh and if you have a dog that's crazy with food and eats so fast she chokes and throws up.. she is really the one to call. I really am good with dogs but she tought me things that would never have crossed my mind which worked so well.

Civilizing a Treewalking Hound

I want to describe "Luke Treewalker", a dog with two personalities, one as a rambuncious hunting dog with all the instincts for running through forests following one goal, and the other as a pet who loves to be with his owner, and please him.

Beth Kingsmill was a perfect choice by us for this dog. Her natural love for dogs, patience, and professional knowledge was ideal for converting our undisciplined older puppy into a well admired and well behaved lovable dog. I appreciate the well structured, gently taught classes, and the comradery the dogs (puppies) in the class developed for each other. I recommend this training for anyone.

Wonderful Trainer

Beth took our high strung and aggressive cocker and turned her into a well behaved and happy dog. Beth is very patient and walks you through each step to ensure that you and your dog are trained correctly. In additon she provides you with written instructions for when you go home so that you don't forget the steps you should be completing. I highly recommend Beth for anyone that is looking for dog training and obedience skills.

Thank You Beth

I made an appointment for Beth K to come to our house to help me train our Yorkie, Lexie, to do her "business" outside. In the first of two session, Beth gave me the strategy, took us through the process, and I put the training into practice that day. It's now been three weeks since that session, and Lexie has had only one accident, and that was because I did not pick up on the message Lexie was giving me that she needed to go outside. In the second session we worked on training Lexie not to jump up on our guests and not to pull on her leash when we are out walking. I am working on that, with some success. Beth has done a wonderful job for us, and I recommend her highly!
