The cooperative purchases, manufactures or processes feed, seed, fertilizer, farm supplies and fuel. Based in Samson, Ala., it operates through a network of 1,200 retail locations in over a 23 states across America. The cooperative operates several feed mills, fertilizer plants, fertilizer terminals, farm supply distribution centers, grain elevator retail facilities, peanut purchasing facilities and crop protection and turf warehouses. Southern States is a member of CRF, one of the leading animal nutrition research groups in the world.
