Since 2002, Wesley Community Development Corporation has been operating as a community housing organization that builds homes for low income individuals and families. Located in Statesville, N.C., it provides home ownership training and community support. The organization has built more than 50 homes in eight counties of western North Carolina. Its housing counseling and homebuyer education workshops offers knowledge on the rights and responsibilities of homeownership as well as provide assistance to consumers in overcoming obstacles to purchasing and maintaining a home. The organization also provides individualized services focusing on housing needs while sharing information specific to each client.
