I thought I was getting sub-standard service when this out fit was owned by Shenandoah Valley Propane. Amerigas has taken residential service to a new low. Not only did they dramatically increase both equipment costs and per gallon price, the are nearly impossible to reach by phone for timely service. As most propane customers rely on this fuel for heat, cooking, etc. this is problematic for the consumer and grossly negligent behavior from the supplier. I'm within a hairs breadth of having Amerigas come out and dig up their nearly empty tank. When looking for a competent, trustworthy propane supplier, I'd advise looking elsewhere.

Amerigas failed to deliver to our auto-pay account location for a full month, in the winter, and then flatly refused us emergency service when we ran out, leaving a family of four with young kids without heat or the means to cook over a long weekend, in a goddamn snowstorm. Despite the obvious negligence and breach of contract, not to mention endangering us without so much as an apology. Please do not give this company your business.
