This business is either out to screw you over or very incompetent with little regard for your safety. They were to fix brakes for us on a dodge van. We were from out of state and were told we needed new rotors also. I suggested turning the rotors and was told that it could not be done. I told them just to put new brakes pads on it and I would worry about it when we arrived back home. They went on about liability issue and I told them to just put new brake pads on and I would take responsibility. They finally called to tell me it was ready about four hours later than they had said. With intentions of us having to bring the van back to them or completely incompetent they failed to put the bolt that holds the brakes in place or put it in and didn't tighten it. We left on Friday morning and snow was on the mountain, the plows were out. By the time we reached Denver a terrible sound developed in the front left. Steadily the noise got worse. Reaching Salina, KS i decided it unsafe to trave any farther. On Saturday morning I tried several mechanics in Salina but no one could find the time. I called Midas in witchata, KS and told to bring in. A very nervous 78 mile drive for my wife, her sister and 2 nieces and myself . Finally arriving at Midas they put the van on the rack and shortly called me back to look at it. I didn't need new brakes as i thought, a bolt was missing that holds the brakes in place and said it either had not been put in or was just hand tightened only and came out. Either with the intentions of me having to return for new rotors or from complete incompetence the folks at Automotive had no regard for our safety. Midas had us on the road in about an our. By the way the guys at Midas said the rotors could be easily turned and suggested i have it done when I got back home.
