It's surprising to see in Steamboat but I have felt like I was being looked down upon by staff when I have asked questions. One time in particular Pete Kop... told us he has just ridden the trail from the Ski Area down to Fish creek and said there was little snow and only in one brief section. Unfortunately he really hadn't and got us into a several mile slog through deep snow 70% of the time. Fortunately we have a good sense of direction and could find the trail by circling even when there was 6ft of snow on it. We had shown him on the map where we wanted to go so there was no mis-understanding. His ego got into the way because he couldn't admit he didn't know. I'm just glad we didn't get stuck and got out just as it got dark.
