It's under renovation at this time, so I can't downgrade it for being a little messy in places where the construction is taking place. Their fruit and veggy section is quite complete. I'd like it better if they had a policy of cutting and allowing samples of fruit so you'd know what you were getting before it gets home, because often peaches look great but they're totally taste-free these days. It's not the grocer's fault, this stuff is picked green and shipped from Mexico or Central America often, but they could go a long way toward making me satisfied if we could sample items before buying. The fish and shellfish department has grown considerably and has added a lot of good new choices, and the people working there are very helpful and informative about cooking suggestions. The bakery is first class, best in the city. And the meat section is pretty good, with a reasonable choice of products nicely displayed. Overall, it's a huge credit to Stephenville to have a choice for a good selection of foods without having to battle WalMart parking and lines.

I've applied to HEB on numerous occasions, and have never received any formal response from them. I've called to follow up on my applications and on every occasion been told, "We're still looking at our current applications and will be calling in the next couple weeks." And then I get hung up on. Every time. Heaven forbid I go to the actual store to ask question, the second I walk up to the help desk and ask about a job everyone scatters like roaches, or gives me the most perplexed and empty look as if they're puzzled by my question. I don't know why this store remains to post job offers and yet can't find the time to answer a simple question. Quite frankly it's pathetic.

this storeis so tiny and nasty the parts the customer does not se are discusting and smell like dead animals. the sinks dont work in the mens room so i dont guess anybody washes their hands.
