Sterling High School is a part of the RE-1 Valley School District and enrolls more than 650 students. It provides higher learning opportunities and college preparatory academic education to students in grades nine through 12. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, language and fine arts, history, geography, foreign languages, science and social studies. Sterling High School also provides ACT and SAT test preparation classes, and courses in journalism, mythology, psychology, mass communication, agriculture science and technology, and mechanical and architectural engineering and designing. It additionally provides advanced placement courses in English and mathematics and the National Honor Society program. The high school also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as arts, music and dance, and student clubs and organizations. Additionally, Sterling High School has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books, referral sources, access to the Internet, and newspapers and magazines. It provides various sports activities, such as basketball, soccer, baseball, cross country, swimming and tennis. The high school is located in Sterling, Colo.
