Provided by YP.comHi, my name is Laurie Free and I am the Director of Educational Services for Sterling Township. Sterling Township Center for Youth offers several programs at no cost to the community. One is the Imagine Learning lab and Sproutz program. This computer-based program provides K-5th grade students opportunity to improve their reading and English language skills. At the CFY the class is small and the environment safe and comfortable. Enrichment activities are also provided. Children feel respected and connected with staff. Instruction is personalized with Imagine learning and children progress at their own pace.Parents are very happy to see that students are continuing to close the gap and they see the evidence of success in meeting these standards. The following are comments from some of those parents:
“As a parent I honestly think the Imagine Learning program has been a success. I have a child who attends the program. Diego has improved his reading and computer skills. The staff there is wonderful. I’d like to thank them for motivating the children on wanting to learn. I think the atmosphere is great and the individuals are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!” Rudy Leal Jr.
“The Imagine Learning program has helped my daughter in a couple of different ways. One is her reading. She is able to pronounce and recognize letters that she couldn’t before. Kirra has opened up and is more sociable. Her number recognition and math facts have also improved. “ Stephanie Gibson
Through a partnership with the Sterling Public Schools this program is being piloted at all area grade schools as well as being offered at the Center for Youth.
