Located in Stillwater, Okla., The Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory provides advice, counsel and support for the laboratory's operations. It also receives support from farmers, ranchers, pet owners, veterinarians, wise and understanding legislators and governors. The laboratory works to reduce the incidences and threat of diseases that are transmissible from animals to man and provide support for the teaching and research programs. Established in 1976, The Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory is a part of Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, which offers a range of health care services for animals. Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is a facility that maintains animal health and welfare through medical, surgical and diagnostic laboratory services. It also handles infections and noninfectious animal diseases that affect human health, as well as works to prevent and control animal diseases through continuing education programs.
