If you value your home and do not want to spend thousands of dollars redoing work that has been done by Phoenix Contractors, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They price gouge, and they work without permits which is illegal in my city according to the City Inspector. That inspector has filed a complaint against them with the State Attorney's Office and there is an open investigation pending.
They installed a temporary sink in my kitchen that was VALUED AT HOME DEPOT for $279 then tried to bill me a $1000.00 for that sink.
Yes, Mr. Ryan McNamara, you and your moronic contractors destroyed my house.
They also installed drywall in my basement which had to be redone because it was installed incorrectly and over molded insulation They billed me for things they never even did or complete. Such as leaving holes in my ceiling, then having an electrical contractor rip out all my GFI's in my basement, which all the electrical had to be redone as well. Phoenix Renovation and Restoration also charged me for putting back in new insulation into my walls, funny thing there is no new insulation. The biggest problem with this company is they PRICE GOUGE TO THE EXTREME. They over charge, and fail to complete things. Be VERY CAREFUL!
So they put a $16,000 dollar lien on my house without official notice which is illegal in the State of Kansas and without a contract. I tried to offer $8000 to these folks out of good faith, however Mr. McNamara refused to send me a statement agreeing to the offer or anything showing the bill paid in full. After having several contractors look at the damage done by Phoenix and filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office,County and City municipalities. An offer of $8000 is way too much and the costs for the completed repairs far succeeds that amount. Bottom line is stay away from Phoenix and it's sub-contractors. There is a long line of destruction caused by these folks. All the way from Kansas City over into Oklahoma, down to the Lake of Ozarks. Also their website claims they are IICRC certified. Which means Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, & Restoration. Now in order to make this claim they have to have someone officially in their office who is certified. Unfortunately Phoenix has lied again, there is no one in their Overland Park, Kansas office IICRC certified. However they do have a technician down in their Lake of Ozarks regional office who is IICRC. But when I talked with the person at the IICRC headquarters in Las Vegas, they said that Phoenix on their main website was misrepresenting themselves by indicating they were in fact IICRC certified. That tile and certification should only be used on the site where the technician is actually located. Again, something that Phoenix is outstanding at, and that is lying and misrepresenting themselves.
