Provided by YP.comI usually don't bother writing reviews as if I am become unhappy with the service I merely take my business elswhere. In this case, I am likely to not only quit buying from Big Valley but quit buying Ford's all together due to the service department. I have purchased Ford's my entire life, and 7 vehicles from Big Valley in the past 10 years, yet am treated like a 3rd class citizen. I actually was treated better at Kia when I went to a dealer on a $15k car that I did not even buy from them then I was at Big Vallery after have spending well over $200k, hard to get an appointment set up, hard to get a loaner car, paperwork not ready when I got there, two of 3 problems not fixed and the so called valet stopped to talk to others while he went to get my car, knowing I was standing there waiting. This is not my first challenge with the Big Valley service department but it may well be my last, and since they are the only Ford dealer that is local, probably my last dealing with Ford. One of my specific problems was with the alarm system in my truck (F150 Platinum) which kept going off on its own, the explanation to me after 2 years that I might not know how to use it (really, after 2 years of it working fine, just call me a moron) so they guarantee it works, in less than 1 hour of having it home, it goes off 3 times and I can no longer set it at all. The moisture on the insde of my windshield must not have been real either, that must be why my headliner is soaked and there is water dripping from the passenger side handrails and filling up the cup holder in the door on that side. GREAT WORK....the problem is that the service is so bad and that I have so many other things to be doing that I might just live with the problems instead of dealing with the headache of getting them fixed. Not only have they lost my business, maybe this review will hit home for them in other areas as well. It is unfortunate because I actually liked the sales process (cant say that often) but being treated like gold at the Volvo and Kia dealers and like dirt where I have spent the most money, does not sit well. As much as it pains to me to say....Chevy here I come....

Provided by YP.comI went to this dealership to purchase a new 2013 Ford Flex. This dealership did not have the car that I wanted and said that they could get it for me so I signed the contract and made the purchase. I waited for a week with no phone calls to tell me what was going on. I called them to find out that they were 90% there with the deal. I waited another 3 days and no phone calls. I called them again and told them I am going to go buy the vehicle they were trying to get from the dealer and they said no problem. I purchase the vehicle from the other dealer and it came with a bad lift gate motor. I thought no big deal i will take it to Big Valley to have it fixed. This is where the trouble started. I brought the car to them and they took it around back to verify the problem. Then after around 45minutes or so they brought it back out. Steve in service said they will order the part and call me when it arrives. After leaving Big Valley Ford I found damage to the lower dash area around the stereo that was notices by both my wife and I. This damage was not seen there prior to my arrival at this dealership. I called the service department talked to Steve and told him about the problem and also told him that I have notices a problem with my hood alignment to the fender on the right side. Steve said bring it in and we will take a look at it. As soon as I pulled up to the service department Steve came out and I could tell right away that he was already prepared to deny me service. The first thing he said was that they did not do it and that the hood problem is a trim problem and that I need to take the car back to the dealership were I purchased the car. I find this completely unacceptable; Steve at Big Valley Ford Stockton, CA is basically saying well you didn’t buy the car from us so we are not going to help you. How does Steve know that the damage to my dash on a new car with less than 300 miles did not happen as a result of one of his mechanic’s dropping something or does he have video on his mechanic’s? After taking the car back to my purchasing dealer they said no problem and told me that i can take the car to any dealership for these problems because the hood problem is a factory trim problem and the lift gate is also a warranty problem. He said he will personally call the dealership near me and have them take care of the work and that he will purchase and ship the dash piece to the dealership near me which will be ELK Grove Ford. I will never again do business with Big Valley Ford of Stockton, CA and it just goes to show me that Stockton, CA is going to the dogs in a hand basket and Big Valley Ford is right there with them.
We are sorry to hear you had a less than satisfactory experience at our dealership. Please get in touch with me so we can resolve this situation. Sincerely, Steve Kubitz | General Manager| [email protected]

Provided by YP.comI was rear ended less than 1 mile from Big Valley Ford and the collision center manager happened to be driving by shortly after the accident happened. He was such a comfort to me. He took photos of my vehicle for my insurance company and explained the entire claim process to me. He never solicited Big Valley to me, but after such care, I absolutely had no doubt where I wanted to take my car for repair. They arranged a rental car to be dropped off for me, and the repairs were completed in just 3 days. My car looks new again. I would highly recommend Big Valley fo everyone!

Provided by YP.comSeems the service dept. can only perform work if the customer writes down what exactly is defective. After providing them with a writen list of issues they only fixed the issue in which I knew what to do. The rest of the issues they didn't even check out but charged me for.
I'd be very careful about what you pay them vs. the value they provided.
