I went to College Bakery once and ordered a cake. They totally screwed it up. I ordered a cake shaped like a tombstone with black frosting and grey lettering. It was a white tombstone with black lettering. Huh? I paid for it anyway since it at least was close.

I went back another time and ordered a cake. This time I thought that I would get the Tombstone cake they baked for me previously. They screwed it up so badly the second time that I refused to pay for it or take it with me. This time I got a cake with graves all over it. Um, I wanted one big tombstone, not a cake that looks like Halloween! It was for someone's 30th birthday.

I have never gone back since. They really aren't cake decorators. As to the quality of what they have in the display cabinets, it's certainly nothing to write home about. I'd rather buy my baked goods from someplace like Walmart than here. It's really that bad!

PLEASE PLEASE READ! I agree with most of the reviews! I wished I would have seen these first and it would have saved me so much disappointment. So I needed a Quinceanera cake for my daughter, which is just like a wedding cake. I ordered a 3 tier double layer cake. Plain white smooth finish with no decorations. My Mom who is a cake decorator was going to decorate the cake so this should be easy for them right? When I picked it up the cake was crooked and leaning. They left out the simple detail of adding a ruffle and I should have known then. So by the time I git the cake to the venue the cake was practically falling apart. The layers were sliding and would not stay together! We fixed it best as we could as there was no time to get a new cake. Before the party even started the first layer of the cake totally fell off! We were devastated as the flowers my Mother spent 1 month to make were smashed to the floor. We fixed it again only to find it fall apart even more. When I started to slice the cake to at least serve some of it, I discovered that the layers of the cake were being held up with Drinking Straws!!! Are you kidding me!!!! Drinking straws! The straws were not even long enough to go through the layer of the cake. I was irate at this is total negligence on their part!! I do not know any baker that uses straws. If I had known if they used straws I would have ran from the place. Long story short I didn't get to serve cake and I got no pictures of my daughter with the cake. I went back and spoke to the owner who stated that I should have called that day. Sure in the middle of my event! She took no responsibility for the disaster or want to even talk to me about it. She refused to give me a full refund so now I am taking them to court for the full refund as I paid almost 300.00! Please save yourself from the total negligence and disappointment of this place. Please see the pictures attached with the straws in place.
