I went to the Moo Moo's Burger Barn in Stockton off I-5 last night for dinner...with my daughter and granddaughter. I noticed on their "specials" board was FISH AND CHIPS. I ordered that...what a MAJOR MISTAKE!
When our food arrived I looked at the fish and it was like miniature fish sticks. Three pieces, about 1" x 4" and about 1/2" thick. I asked the waitress if this was the way they served fish and chips and she said YES. Only difference was that I ordered the GARLIC FRIES with mine...mistake #2.
The garlic fries were COLD and has just a slight taste of garlic...tasted more like oil with shredded parmesan cheese on top. For this I paid an extra $3. By then my $6.95 "special" was up to $9.95!
My granddaughter ordered the kids portion chicken tenders, it was twice or three times the size of my meal. My daughter ordered the teriyaki burger, it was HUGE with french fries for $5.99.
Needles to say I was unhappy with the food there...when the manager walked by I stopped him. I asked if the that was how they served fish and chips and he said yes, couldn't wait to keep on running down the aisle, guess I bothered him.
With my soda my total was a tad under $15. What an overcharge for what I got! Whatever you do, don't order the fish and chips. Go somewhere else and get it. The garlic fries are a joke too...don't pay extra for those. Food was disappointing and the service was marginal. It's the kind of restaurant where they act like they're doing you a favor to let you eat there! Like I said, NEVER AGAIN!
