Based in Stockton, Calif., San Joaquin County Office of Education has been operational for more than 35 years. A regional agency, SJCOE provides educational leadership, resources, and service more than 100 school districts, regional programs and community members in Northern California. The agency offers a wide variety of programs and services, such as human resource development, research solutions, career counseling, county and district business services, online public information, and advancement via individual determination programs. It also offers assessment projects, California preschool instructional networks, community involvement and health care programs, early childhood and migrant education, and reading first regional technical assistance center. Additionally, the agency provides support services, state and federal programs, student events and activities, teacher development solutions, alternative education modules, and foster youth services. San Joaquin County Office of Education s special committees include itinerant services, autism team, assistive technology and behavior case managers.
