The Workforce Investment Board is governed by the San Joaquin County in California. It offers resources of the community to assist job seekers find right jobs and help employers meet business needs. The board provides a range of employment and training opportunities and services to job seekers. It negotiates performance measures, approve budgets and sets policies. The Workforce Investment Board is comprised of executive, accountability, business development, planning, staff training, and data collection and sharing committees. It also includes private sector representatives, voting members and nonvoting members of the Youth Council. The board is managed by SJC WorkNet, which is a division of the Employment and Economic Development Department.
