Provided by YPmobileI cannot agree more with the previous review on this location. I have had such positive, welcoming, and rewarding experiences from other Ashcroft locations - but due to my experience in Strongsville, I will never spend another penny there. I went in there to get some previously purchased jewelry cleaned, and started looking at the watches. A few items caught my eye, however I did not want to spend money on something I didn't love. An associate told a different associate to show me a watch, and my eye was caught by a beautiful movado. The assistant manager told me that this watch " was 50% off" and that " it was a thousand dollar watch." Upon speaking to my family, I decided this was a watch I had to have due to the deal that I could not pass up. When I was checking out the assistant manager told me I should get the additional instance because "this watch was over a thousand dollars." When I got home, I went on the movado website and was furious in finding that the price they charged me, the price that was supposedly 50% off, was the retail price. I called a separate Ashcroft location, and they reitterated the retail price of the watch and said they would be able to get the price down in store. I called the store and confronted the manager, who advised he could not vouche for his employees and what they said. What kind of company cannot vouch for the words of every last employee? He also said that he did not hear any exchanges about the price of the watch. My brother then called up to the store, and was told that although he had not spoken to the employee, that he said typically movados are over a thousand dollars. Ironic that he did not hear the conversation when I spoke to him, but when my brother does he advises that the associate said something completely different. He also said that typically they don't give lower prices because the associates then receive no commission. I am DISGUSTED that I have ever spent money at an establishment so driven by profit, that they would deliberately lie to, and mislead, a longtime patron. Please avoid shopping at this "family" establishment.

Provided by YP.comBe careful of sleazy sales tactics. I was shopping for a specific watch that I had researched in depth. I knew what a fair price was, and was willing to pay this amount. They offered what they claimed was a discount, but still way above what I knew was a fair price. The salesman said he would call his manager to see if he could get a better price but wouldn’t make the call unless I gave him my credit card first. I told him I was probably going to pay cash but would not give him any form of payment until we had agreed on a price. He said that unless I gave him my credit card in advance he wouldn’t call his manager for a better price because, (and this is an exact quote): “people do that all the time and then claim they forgot their wallets or something”. I found these sleazy “used car salesman” tactics to be really offensive. I left the store and purchased the same watch 5 minutes later from another jeweler in the mall for $50 less than his “discounted price”. This is the second time I dealt with them but left the store because in both instances they were very overpriced and attempted to use sleazy sales tactics. I would be very careful about dealing with this company.
