The food is delicious wonderful service so polite.

They are closed on Mondays. Food is excellent

Had the Oxtails and Rice with Potato salad and Collard Greens (Spicy). Everything was outstanding! I finished it off with a Sweet Potato pie to go which was also excellent! Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Finally a real soul food place in the pocono's. The Food was amazing . I will be going back for more ;)

prices are okay but the variety was scarce. The food was okay the cakes are great, need a broader menu I come from a home of southern cooks and it needs some working and tweaking, no turkey wings and white rice on the menu where is the true essence of the south? Where are the ribs the real roots of the south.

i was driving down 611 and saw big ma ma s restaurant, i was so excited to see a soul food place.once i walked in , it all changed. 45 MINUTES TO GET 8 PEACES OF CHICKEN AND 2 PORK CHOPS. The white girl behind the counter had no clue on anything and was rude. the chicken was a grease pit and the pork chops were as thick as a peace of cardboard. the fries and mac and cheese , i had to throw out. i wish they do well but they must get there act together and cook some real good soul food. other wise this place will not make it 3 months. nice looking place, get the guest treated quickly and clean up the food ASAP

Not enough words to describe how delish the food is- Fried chicken seasoned just right and mac n cheese and red beans and rice were to die for! Very affordable- beats the chains by a mile in taste and cost. Not to mention the music and staff on point!

Stopped in today. SCORE!!!! Excellent meals. Really good fried chicken, just like home. Fried catfish very good....Greens well done, mac and cheese and corn bread. Generous portions..Sweet potato pie delish...Took pie home with us. Can see us doing this weekly. Wishing them great success.

Very tasty food.good size portions. If you like southern cooking ya gotta give big mamas a try.

This place is the spot. The fish was delicious and the chicken and waffles was off the hook. I just wish they had some potatoe salad and uptowns once they get that they will be 100% soul food. I wish them the best of luck and this was the best idea to come with in this area!!! Love soul food made from the heart. I would recommend this place to any one. It is a taste of Big Mama's Sunday dinner!!

Great food cooked as ordered had the tilapia rice beans and fries tilapia was so tender it melted in my mouth the flavoring was fantastic. Would recommend this place 100% will differently go back every chance I have.
