I would not recommend this office. Some people may look into midwifery care to try and find a different birth experience and this place is not the solution. This office seems to view pregnancy as a medical event, not a natural one. I constantly had a difficult time with the staff. When there were tests or ultrasounds and I needed the results, I could never get any information or call backs. Even in emergency situations, I would have to wait a month+ for my next appointment to know the results. It was very frustrating. Eventually, I switched care providers in my late pregnancy and I am so relieved

Andrea, Tina, and the Ladies of Pocono Midwives were amazing! They provided us with wonderful care and guidance you gave us throughout our pregnancy with our first born!! The entire experience was just wonderful!!!! I would highly recommend them, especially if your looking for a close and personal experience!

Tina- Thank you so much for the phenomenal maternal/ prenatal care! We are so great-full for your weekly guidance and support!! We already miss our weekly visits with you! You truly go above and beyond to make sure your patients have the best possible pregnancy & birth!

Andrea- We can not thank you enough for the wonderful birth experience we had with our son!!! Our birth experience was exactly what we dreamed of and we could not have done it without you! We are so grateful for you support, guidance... But especially your expertise that allowed us to successfully deliver our son despite the challenges! Thank you so so so much!

Stay Away!

Pocono midwives and associates, LLC tried to charge copay $185 for the periodic well visit (pap smear) , which had to be fully covered by my Aethna insurance (i had same visit 1,5 year ago for no charge). I refused to pay and called to Aethna. Aethna representative have confirmed my $0 copay for this visit and called to the office immediately. Even after this call i was asked to sign paper listed below:

"We have tried contacting your insurance company but we regret to inform you that they are closed for the day. If we submit a claim and it's refused you will be responsible for $185 for the office visit"..

Otherwise I will be unable to see a midwive and have my pap smear done....

So, i left the office and will never come back again. Waste my time and gasoline. Same day Aethna assisted me to found another provider that will not gonna charge me for an Annual preventive visit.

I love this place, they make you feel comfortable when your there, and great staff. I tell everyone about this place any chance I get. There's not a lot of places up here I am comfortable going to up here or feel like I am getting treated the way I should except here, I will go here for as long as I am up here. If your having a baby go see Andrea, she's a miracle worker I don't know how she does what she does but she gets it done not many doctors work as hard as she does or takes the time out to care, shes wonderful.
