Walter Kitching started it all by providing goods and services to the pioneers along the Indian River from his boat the "Merchant" pictured above. Walter and his son-in-law, John Taylor began their mercantile business in Stuart in the early 1900's. John began the Insurance business in 1937. After a stint in the 82nd Airborne in WWII, John's son-in-law, Dick Ashley joined the firm in 1946. In 1957 Taylor-Ashley moved to its present location. The tradition of customer service and complete customer satisfaction continues today as the fourth generation operates the business. Like other consumers, you will probably agree that the most difficult aspects of buying insurance are knowing who to turn to for trusted and unbiased information, understanding the different kinds of products that are right for you, and keeping track of all of your insurance information. Taylor-Ashley addresses these concerns by giving consumers complete customer service and insurance information.
