I have been going to Urban Trends for the last few years. The last time I went there will in fact be my LAST. I got my hair cut & styled by the owner. She did an absolutely horrible job, and the worst part is - she actually thought it looked good! I was the last appt of the night, so it's not like she was in a rush to get another appt in. I have very curly hair, and when I called to book the appt - I made sure to let them know that and I asked for an experienced stylist. You would think being the owner with the most experience you should know what you are doing. I asked for a conditioning treatment - which she basically applied conditioner as with every other time, washed it out after a couple of minutes and told me that was it. I also asked for my very curly hair to be dried and straightened, as I always do when I book the appts. If you don't know how to work with curly hair, then don't take the appt! My hair was left half wet, and extremely big and frizzy...she straightened a few pieces here and there. I was actually angry when I walked out to the door. Not only did she do a terrible job and not finish it, she had the audacity to charge me over $70 for this! What a waste of time and money. I had to home, blow dry my own hair and straighten it all.

When I made an appointment to Urban Trends it was my first time going so I did not know anyone there. When they asked if I had a preference for whom I would go with I said no. I went to my appointment and I got a trim and a few highlights and the hair stylist seemed very nice and I thought she did a good job. It was not excellent but with the prices I found online I thought it was a good deal. The price came up on the register and it was over $100.00!!! First off, that is not what the website said and second, for a trim and a few highlights that is ridiculous! Apparently, because I had the manager cut my hair everything went up in price and I had no idea but I guess I am supposed to know that I say I do not want the manager to cut my hair because that will triple the price. When I tried to talk to the manager about this she was very disrespectful to me and I felt like she did not even care to what I had to say. I told her that luckily I had the money on my card. I am a college student and what if I had just enough from what I saw on the website because I did not think I would get charged triple. Would she arrest me if I could not pay because of false advertising?! Her response was, “If you go to a fancy restaurant then expect to pay more money.” Well, when you go to a fancy restaurant you have the price listed right on the menu and if a manager serves you, you do not get charged triple! It was a terrible experience and for a place in Racine, they should not be charging that much. I will NEVER go back to Urban Trends and will NEVER recommend it to anyone! Save yourselves and go somewhere that will not lie to your face and give you some respect.

Personal and respectful treatment - the best pedicure/manicure ever. Excellent products, the staff takes time to answer any questions and to make sure you leave more than satisfied. Family members and friends have had hair services and were also greatly pleased. Highly recommend.

Great experience from start to finish. Explained how to take care of my new style and made me feel very comfortable.

My new style and color is truly outstanding. A refreshing salon experience.
