This place is the place to go for excellent mexican food. Family run so you know there is great pride taken. The beautiful artwork on the walls are the work of the owner's wife. The staff are super friendly and attentive, yet you never feel like you're being rushed. We love the shrimp quesadilla appetizer and the camarones en crema is just the best! Traditional dishes like tacos al pastor and tongue tacos are done beautifully. This just feels like real mexican food...oh, and the margaritas are the best I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is very family friendly, but it's great for couples too. Overall, great food, great place to relax and unwind, love the staff and don't know what I'd ever do if they were gone. I'm an experienced cook who loves to eat and cook traditional mexican. Been to other mexican restaurants thinking "no, this can't be the only good mexican restaurant in Orange/Rockland county", but guess what?...IT IS!! You all really need to check it out...you'll thank me

We LOOOVE this Mexican restaurant...the staff is fun and friendly. The food is excellent...always superb. The homemade guacamole and chips are to die for...they make it fresh table-side. The prices and quality are excellent....highly recommend. There are many Mexican places in the area THIS is our favorite.

I have been going to 'the Hac' since it's location was up the street in a small shop front. Still has a great family run feel and efficient service. If you need to a 'dine & dash', we have joke that we have been in, ordered, eat, paid & out in 16 mins (that's if you know the menu & what you want). From the quick and very satisfying Soft Tacos (when you need some comfort food and have low budget) to the most delicous Chicken Mole. Everything is freshly made - even the Guac that they make at your tableside. Great for quick bite, family dinner or a celebration. Highly recommended.

With a lack of good Mexican places around, this one is at the top of my list. I highly recommend the guacamole--they make it fresh, right in front of you in a morter. Excellent authentic food, great service and very reasonable prices.

I went here today for the first time, and I won't be returning. I got the shrimp and crab ceviche appetizer, and it was good, but nothing spectacular. I've never had ceviche before, so I wanted to try it. I got the chicken in mole sauce entree, which was awful. The rice that came with it was mushy and flavorless, and the refried beans were tasteless as well. The chicken itself was tough, and there was oil pooling around the sauce. I don't recall exactly what my fiancee ordered, but there were three different meat stuffed tortillas or wraps of some sort, and he said they tasted like they were had been frozen and defrosted and were incredibly mushy. The food and menu are quite ordinary, and I can't imagine why this place is still open. The service was average, and servers kept bumping the back of my booth (we were seated near some sort of supplies by the front door) and it was quite annoying, plus the same music was played over and over. Not my idea of a good time or meal.
