Provided by YP.comWhen Mr. Wu says, "Every bridge must be made specifically for each instrument", this could seem rather confusing, because you see him immediately holding the bridge in his hand that he says he'll put on violin. lol What he's holding is actually just the bridge blank. This must then have its feet shaved down to exactly match the specific curvature of your violin top. Then he has to cut the correct slope towards the E string. Followed by sanding the bridge to the correct thickness and may even paint on a hardener. Last, he must re-position the sound post (may even have to cut a new one)to compliment the new bridge. Bottomline. There's a lot more going on in that back room than most customers realize. And if any of these components are made incorrectly or not positioned just right, your violin is going to sound dead.

Provided by YP.comMr. Wu is a fine violin luthier in Sugar Land, Tx.. He is an expert about violin and know how to fix it well.. I have no doubt about his experiences in his works.. BUT, the reason that I only give him 2 stars, because of his high pressure Sale tactics, and sometimes I feel that he is not honesty about what he said: One time, I brought my son's violin in for him to put on the Fine tuning screws.. And after he looks at my son's violin, after I just paid $2000 for it from diferent seller, he said that the violin needed alot of works, and said that my son's violin is a low level violin, and NO other violins outhere is good enough but only his own made violins, and he also made jokes and started bashing my son's violin.
Also he said that my son's violin needed a new bridge, because " every bridge to be made for especially for each violin".. Then he took out his own made bridge to show to us.. So if I had agreed to replace the bridge with his own bridge ($85 a piece), he would install it immediatly.. So it was telling me that he just want to sell his violin bridge to make quick $85, when he specificed said that each violin should have its own custome made bridge.
So it is telling me that Mr. Wu just wants to make money without regarding his customers true benefits.. And we all not sure that his violins are the best in the world either, when he always bashing any violin that people brougth to his store to get them fix up... He is an excellent Luthier, and have alot of experiences in violin, BUT with the way he conducted his business, I am not sure that I want to come back to do business with him..
