Provided by YP.comThe only thing that this place has going for it is that they take walk-ins. But what exactly are you walking into? There are too many weird things to ignore, i have gone there for a couple years, now because at first I thought maybe the rudeness at reception was just that the were having a bad day. Or that the misdiagnosis was a 1-off and could happen to anyone, nothing serious, no harm done. Or that coming 3 for a check up before and after routine lab work was a scheduling error. Nope, they seem after billable items and the more they get, the better. Need a referral to a cardiologist? nope they want to handle it. need an ophthalmologist, nope i can see good enough with my penlight. My trust has been lost, don't trust them.

Provided by YP.comI worked at CFP. HERE are the facts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I performed echocardiography for almost five years. For most of that duration I performed with a Mindray ultrasound machine. It was never set up properly to perform echocardiograms. Several request were submitted to correct this problem. All request ignored. From day one the Mindray had technical issues that prevented the technologist from performing a complete quality exam with all the quantitative data one needs. Several request submitted to correct the problems. All request ignored. Several weeks before the end of my employment there (04/06/2015) we started experiencing problems with the system transducer that is responsible for aquiring the images. This problem was never rectified even tho several requests submitted along with communication with technical support in Charleston. During my employment I performed echocardiograms (heart exams) using sub par equipment that had several technical issues that should have been corrected but never was. Would I have my echocardiogram performed on that machine? NO! I told my family members to go elsewhere. It was clear that CFP was not going to spend the money needed to have quality dependable equipment available for the technologist. We are talking about exams on patients hearts!!!!!! Also there were technologists performing echocardiograms that had little to no experience. The proper training conditions and duration was not allowed resulting in untrained technologists performing heart exams with no technical supervision. Thats the facts folks!!!! I could comment on a whole lot more but I will stick to the echocardiography department. BEWARE of CFP.

Provided by YP.comColonial Family Practice not only takes Tricare insurance, they bend over backwards to help you see a specialist and help you schedule an appointment with a specific doctor if you have a requested name. All Drs overcharge (they have bills too) and not every medical technician has enough training (we all have to start somewhere). But, overall, Colonial Family practice is very good, I've been with them since it was just Dr. Lowder and Mary Jean Sturgess and I have no intentions of leaving them.
