Provided by YP.comI am writing this here because Yelp guidelines doesn't allow for reviews unless I hired the company. Since I had direct interaction with the owner who was fully representing his company, I believe it is important for others to know his behavior...
I sold a large piece of furniture on Craigslist and the buyer hired Jason G. -the owner of WMW to pick up and deliver to her.
First, he was an hour and a half late. I had to call him at the 45min mark to see if he was even coming. We all knew days before that snow was coming and driving would be slow... I suspected with the 8am pick up time he gave the night before that he had made allowances for this -he is the professional after all...
Luckily, this was not much of a problem for me as my morning was flexible. Had this been the only issue my review would be much different.
Next, I took him to the piece of furniture so he could see the layout and make his plan. I should also state the buyer told me that he would be carrying the payment for her as well since she lived in another town. I also had instructed her that I required a dolly be used to lift this heavy piece when she was deciding if it was something she could handle on her own, or if she needed to find help.
Jason came in with his employee and said it would be a challenging carry and they didn't have a dolly on the truck. That I wouldn't want a dolly on the floor either... -as if I didn't know better and certainly didn't have family with decades in the biz that correctly put the piece there in the first place.
He wanted to set it down on my vinyl floor -which is exactly what I wasn't going to allow.
He got so upset at me he yelled and even dropped the F-bomb on me!
I told him menards was very close -he could get a dolly for 8 bucks or he could carry it the 20 feet to the carpet before setting it down to rest.
What moving company isn't prepared with a dolly on each truck? I informed him the buyer was told it was heavy and that a dolly was required. He could carry it if he wanted to, but he was not allowed to set it on the vinyl floor.
He demanded "his money" back, so he could leave. I said no, he needed to first call the woman who hired him.
He then threatened to call the cops on me, to which I told him to go ahead... knowing they would involve the buyer... I didn't know for certain if the money was his or if she had given him the money the night before, which is what she led me to believe...
I repeated he could go get a dolly or carry it (20 feet) to the carpet before setting it down, or call his client as I started to turn on my tablet preparing to contact her myself...
He went back to the piece of furniture and his employee, obviously uncomfortable, apologized to me. Jason loudly stated that "HE was NOT sorry" -that he had been in service for years and never -& that I got him so worked up."
I told him he should control himself. I had been in the service industry my whole life and never had someone drop the F-bomb on me. I repeated he could go get a dolly or carry it to the carpet before setting it down, if he wasn't going to call his client...
-Which is what they did without a single problem.
Tons of drama for no reason at all.
We Move Wisconsin described as unprofessional is an understatement.
