Dr. Touni grew up in Cairo, Egypt and immigrated to the United States in 1998, where he owned a dental practice in San Jose for several years. In order to pursue his true passion in Orthodontics, Dr. Touni decided to sell his dental practice and pursue his dream of becoming an orthodontist which enabled him to launch Touni Orthodontics. Dr. Touni is married and has 2 beautiful twin daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He listens to Classical and Jazz music, and plays Squash and Tennis. Dr. Touni also loves to watch Soccer in his free time. DR. TOUNI’S ORTHODONTIC CREDENTIALS Dr. Touni is a Board Certified Orthodontist – only one in every three orthodontists are board certified. He initially completed his science education at Cairo University, where he received his Bachelor in Dental Surgery Degree, graduating with honors. He further continued his training and completed one year of General Practice Residency and then an additional 3 years in Prosthodontics. In order to pursue his true passion in Orthodontics, Dr. Touni sold his dental practice in San Jose and attended the University of Pacific, where he completed a fellowship in craniofacial genetics, then Certificate in Orthodontics and his Masters Degree. Dr. Touni is currently serving as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthodontics at University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, teaches clinical Invisalign to the pre-doctoral dental students. Dr.Touni is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, and The American Dental Association.
