Provided by YP.comI am still waiting for the technician to arrive who was due yesterday. Had to drive 2 hours to wait 8 am-5 pm and no call or status update. I have been conversing with various subcontractors, but still no status on when technician will arrive.
Next call will be to the CEO of the bank who offered this product as part of my mortgage that they service. As I am a former executive of the bank I am sure he will take my call.

Provided by YP.comI deal with these companies through an HVAC company. This company is the best as far as accommodating their customers. We gets calls regularly from various warranty companies. Most we learned not to deal with at all. For the most part they try to have things fixed rather than replaced. Some companies are looking to place the blame on the homeowner so they do not have any responsibility (Choice Home Warranty). They send someone (us) out to determine diagnosis which includes seeing if the equipment has been properly maintained. Lack of maintenance on a homeowners part constitutes denial of claim. Some homeowners upon purchase of warranty call in within a month which draws suspicion. Some warranty companies do not like to pay us either (Secure) therefore we do not want their business. But I must say that this Warranty company, Cross Country is the best I have come across in all my years dealing with them! One less "Promptness" star is for the red tape and process through which the customer has to go through. If we can make a repair we do but it has to be approved by the warranty company (which pays us). If we must replace it we will present the information as our trained technician reports the failure to the warranty companies. This all takes getting approval first so we know that we will be paid (sometimes by the customer). The approval process has its own challenges. Initial report, waiting on approval, back and forth phone calls to the homeowner, ordering parts or equipment, waiting for parts or equipment, then scheduling for installation/repair. Cross Country is the most accommodating company. Not so easily reachable during peak seasons as they become inundated with volume call requests but they are always working to improve their response and turn around time. By far I love working with Cross Country as we are BOTH looking out for the interest of their clients while maintaining OUR integrity and THEIRS. CROSS COUNTRY IS THE FINEST.

Provided by YP.comI have been duped by the same scam thief- mine is Total Protection Warranty. At a time when this country is at an all time low on such "busineses" are surely taking advantage of everyday folks. I lost refrigerator full of food THREE times before Total Protection would replace the refrigerator; of course I was never reimbursed for the losses. Now I am dealing with them in the installation of a gas range. Unfortunately, as things are today, folks are so caught up on unemployment, health issues, crime, money woes, mortgage problems, etc., that we do not always take time to share bad businesses. We suck it up and concentrate on more pressing issues, giving these folks an open door to false contracts! LAWMAKERS MUST INVESTIGATE!! I am surely contacting my state legislative IMMEDIATELY!!!

Provided by YP.comPurchased a home warranty from a subsidiary of this company that bills itself as HomeSure of America from Fort Lauderdale in 2005. Claimed that repairs would be completed promptly on any appliance in the sign-up brochure. Never received any documents from them for nearly three years as they billed me through my mortgage company HSBC for $34.95 per month, The first time I needed the service in February 2008 and called when my refrigerator stopped working, they told me they couldn't get to it for THREE DAYS, by which time hundreds of dollars in food would have been spoiled. I told them to cancel it and, a week later, I get the plan documents in the mail for the first time. When I asked for all premiums back from 2005, they told me that they never guaranteed immediate service and that they sent me all kinds of documents over the last three years, including reneal notices. Amazing that not a single thing ever made it here in the mail until I called to cancel and sent a CERTIFIED letter to their office. Now it's time to turn it over to the consumer fraud division of the Attorney General to investigate.
