Captain Jacks has been around along time. The place takes back to the dark, low ceilings, tight quarters, diners back east. Lots of aquariums line the walls and nautical flare abounds. The night was muggy and no AC in this place makes for a sweaty time. The King Crab was delicious, but I have to say the prices are high. Maybe even overpriced. Overall the service was good, and the meal was delicious, but overpriced. https://kheloyar.net/home

Best Seafood in LA basin

All the people working at "Captain Jacks" make you feel so welcome

it is like "Home Comming"

The atmosphere, even when very bussy, is always calming and relaxing.

The "Maritime" environment and aquariums are somthing to behold.

My favorite are the steamed mossels and the lobster tail.

In all my years of being a guest there, I have allways been treated as if I was the King of Salam.

I am 72 years old and grew up in the Netherlands in the restaurant business.

I hold a 4 year degree from the Rotterdam Culinary School.

Captain Jacks has been our favorite restaurant for nearly 40 years

and when I'm in the "Southland", I'll go there.

mmmmmmmmm

you won't find it in Zagats or any other restaraunt guide that I know of but it is by far the best seafood / steak place we have ever been to. Very small, with dark, romantic, casual atmosphere the food is out of this world. Oh yeah, bring your appetite because the portions are huge too! yummie
