Provided by YP.comThe food was not really good and the wait staff was unfriendly and not very attentive. I went here expecting a pretty good dining experience and left very disappointed and much lighter in the wallet. I do not think that it was a good value for the money. Plastic plates, cups, and utensils may be fine for a pic-nic, but not for a $40.00 meal (pluse the hefty gratuity they slap on automatically). This place is sureal - it really is like something from a very strange movie. I am not sure what they are going for here, but I would highly recommend that if you go to Calabash for seafood - skip this place and go to one of the older more reputable restaurants with an established reputation and not a place that was hastiy thrown together to catch tourists. If I ever go here again it will be to buy fishbait - thats it.
Pros: None
Cons: No handicapp access - on the second floor ( not ADA compliant)
Plastic plates, cups, eating untensils (yep- plastic forks)
Inattentive wait staff (they get their cut either way - auto-gratuity (see above)
Incredibly slow service -30 minute to take the order and 45 minute wait from the time it was ordered
Way too expensive
And the worst is probably the disjointed story you have to read on the back of the menu (while you wait an hour) about how "city folk" taught "Bill" how to open a restaurant and make lots of money.
