Located at the western end of Lake Superior in Superior, Wis., Fraser Shipyards offers full shipyard services for steam- or oil-fired, welded or riveted vessels. The business s 60-acre, enclosed plant provides 24-hour security and features building and repair berths, a joiner shop and mold loft, machine and fabricating shops, warehouse facilities, two fully working dry docks, lay-up and fit-out berths. Northern Engineering Company located near Fraser Shipyards in Superior, Wis., provides engineering services. The Shipyard is equipped with six heavy lift cranes, which work in the shipyards or throughout the Twin Ports harbor area, modern burning and welding equipment, 32 foot plate rolls, a hydraulic press brake and ironworker shears. With in the premises of Fraser Shipyards are a pipe shop, paint shop, electric shop, mold loft and warehouse.
