Let me start by saying that I have been using this company for years to control weeds. Wayne, the owner I believe, and his wife(receptionist/Appointment lady.) have always been kind, courteous, and have done a great job with my weeds( and pests for that matter, also a pigeon box out) and will continue to be my service provider as long as the weed service route does not get handed over to their son. I also occasionally(1-2 times a year) use them for pest control service when I have been too busy to do to it myself. After my last service I can no longer recommend them(or at least the son/"tech") as a pest control service. I always had good service in the past and their service would last two to three months at a time continuing to kill bugs along the way.( the weed service lasts 8-12 months) This time a new "Tech" (Who I had met before when he was training/helping out his dad) shows up to complete the service. Two days later and no dead bugs on the ground as there had ALWAYS been in the past. (I tried to call the company and did not get a call back for weeks) I ended up doing a spray myself with a 2 gallon hand held sprayer (and chemicals that are available at the local bug and weed store) the next weekend because the bugs(mostly crickets and roaches) were still all over the walls and foundation of my home like nothing was bothering them. Within 30minutes of spraying there were dead roaches and spiders. The crickets were hopping around like mad and I could tell they were soon to be goners. I realized at that point that the "Tech"(if that is what you call someone who shows up, takes your money,does not do his job right, and does not back up his "work") had not sprayed, or at least had not used any insecticide if he did spray, the outside of my house. When I finally got a call back from the company it was from the "Tech" himself not the office, and I was told that HE does not warranty his work for customers that are not on his monthly or bi-monthly route. I explained that in the past his dad always used a power sprayer from a tank on his truck(for the outside). I asked him if he used a power sprayer and he said that his dad does that, but he does not, that he typically uses a backpack sprayer outside and a handheld sprayer. I told him that I did not need someone to come use a backpack sprayer as I own one myself and that I had always received a power spray job in the past.( I also explained that his "job" was absolutely un-effective and no dead bugs were ever found) He said he could come back, but that he would charge, and that maybe I just need to be only on his dad's route. I agreed that I need to only be on his dad's route then and that he would "let the office know". (I had always been on his dad's route before and did not know that changed) That was a week ago and I have still have not heard back from the office. If you use this company for occasional pest control, and a young man who looks like he spends a lot of time in the gym shows up, do not pay him,(he asked for the money upfront and did not provide a receipt), close your door, drive to the bug and weed store,(now called ASE pest and weed) ask the guy behind the desk what chemical you need for your pest problem and how best to apply it, take it home and spray it yourself, then take the money you just saved and buy yourself a treat for a job well done. If his dad shows up, let him do his job and enjoy months of bug free bliss!!! I guess I should have written a positive review of this company in the past but I, like a lot of people, usually only take the time to complain when I feel I have been wronged. His dad and super pest and weed have always done an amazing job before now. I hope that it is just a "Technician" issue and not a sign of things to come.
