I have been a long time ULTA store customer and have always enjoyed shopping at my local Surprise, AZ store. Due to the great customer service I have continually received while shopping at ULTA, I decided to try out the salon. My first experience getting a haircut at the ULTA was not pleasant. The actual hair cut was done well but not evenly and the attitude of my stylist was horrible. She never smiled, didn’t have anything pleasant to say, nor did she really care to be cheerful. I shrugged it off thinking I had come out of the experience ok. I decided to give the salon another try a few months later, getting a simple haircut again, with a different stylist since they are conveniently open on Sundays. Unfortunately, I received the same experience. The stylist was so rude, and treated me so horribly I almost asked her to stop in the middle of the haircut, but couldn’t bear the thought of leaving with half my hair cut! This stylist went to the lengths of never smiling, never speaking to me through the whole appointment besides the initial consultation, treated me as if I was an inconvenience to her for being there on her work day, tugged and pulled on my hair with no accompanying apology, scoffed at my split ends and made my entire experience miserable. I go to get my haircut to feel good, and have a relaxing hour away from my son and husband. This stylist ruined my day; she even dropped her comb and acted like it was my fault! The only up side- my hair did get finished and does look nice. Sadly, I will never return to the salon, nor recommend it to any either due to the terrible experience.
