I bought one shih tzu from Judy about 19 years ago. I bought my second 16 years ago. I still have my second. So sorry to hear Judy passed away! I did not know.
Would love to get a relative of my dogs. Is the kennel still open or not. ?

Looking for Ginger Pease who worked with Judy... my shih tzu is the love of my life! Would like to find any siblings of his, AKC in North Carolina will not give me any information as where any of his litter (or there after siblings are) because I am not the breeder! Infomation only breeder has, so any of my boys littermates rests with them (or whoever has all these dogs records)My boy is 11 now born March 11, 2003...(still acts like a puppy)! Wish I never had him neutered because he is the most perfect well tempered and loving Shih Tzu boy in the world! Father sired by Margaret Courtier's kennel in Troy, NY (she passed before Judy) "Night of the Jedi" also known as "Jed" a champion, mother belonged to Judy "Sidekicks" Kiki"I hope Judy's son Scott or Ginger Pease will see this and contact me, whether they can or can't give me the info. I seek, its so sad no one took over this kennel, the breed standard (in my experience) was the best.... now it will be lost with Judy and Midges passing... unless Ginger Pease is still breeding (her name is on my boys papers for Chestnut Ridge. Thanks anyone who has any info.

My toy poodle was born on 4-13-2008 at Chestnut Ridge Kennels that was run by Judy Ghysel. I'm looking to get in touch with my dog's siblings. I have 2 of the most wonderful mini poodles ever to exist (I got my first brown one in 1992 and the second "red" mini 8 years ago) and I would love to get another. I had heard Patti had taken over the business but have never had luck finding her business.

About 15 yrs ago I met Judy when my friend brought me to see her puppies. My friend used Her as a stud service and loved July treatment and care when her dogs was in Judy's and Pattys care. Over Two years ago I bought my female from Judy and Patty unknow to me Judy was sick at the time. Judy told me Patty will be doing all the paperwork. Well last week I went up to see patty again and she has now been running the kennel since judy passed away and is doing a wonderful.

Chestnut Ridge Kennel is rumored to be closed. Judy passed away, but her longtime employee inherited the business from Judy because Judy knew that Patti would keep it going. She can still be reached at the same number. She also inherited the name because Judy gave it to her when she was diagnosed with fatal cancer and was given only a short time to live. All of the dogs have an excellent pedigree and are beautiful!Apparently her children posted this review before they knew who the Kennel was left to. It is a shame that they are so upset.

I knew Judy for about 15 yrs. I bought 1 female puppy from her and my male is from my friend who used Judy 's dog as a stud. patty took over for Judy after she passed away . Judy gave te kennel to patty contact her for puppies at the same number

My mother, Judy Ghysels, has passed away. As a result we've had to close Chestnut Ridge Kennels. We wish to thank everyone for their patronage and loyalty to my mother over the past 40 years.
