Provided by YPmobileI'm writing this review a little later than usual. Back in April of 2018 I had the one of the worst days of my life. Jazzmine, my 12 year old pug had a stroke. I took her to Acorn for a check. We put her down to end any suffering she may of had. Allison was very professional throughout the whole experience. Two weeks later I had to take my pride and joy Bailey my 14 year old pug in on a Emergency. Bailey failed to thrive. He was dying of a broken heart. He and Jazzmine had spent 10 wonderful years together. Allison was awesome. She realized my pain gave me a big hug at the end of the procedure.
Christmas came and Ms. Pillsbury donated money to UC Davis research in Bailey and Jazzmine's name.
I understand not everyone has a good experience but thrashing a Dr.'s reputation is unfair. There is a reason why any and all Doctors make the their decision's.
Dr. Pillsbury is a wonderful Vet!

Provided by YP.comThis review is written solely for the purpose of spreading awareness and sharing my experience.
Dr. Allison Pillsbury is unprofessional and refused numerous times to perform biopsies on Benny, when I had asked her and her assistants numerous times!
At that time, I had worked in oncology for a surgeon and suspected weeks before that he had cancer.
To this day, I can’t understand why she ignored my requests and refused to do it! I should’ve gone with my gut instinct and should’ve taken him to UC Davis for the aspiration biopsies. Allison is solely responsible for Benny’s prognosis. She should be ashamed of herself.
She lied to Benny’s vet in Folsom about diagnosing him with a biopsy test, when all she did was palpate his entire body.
She is entirely responsible for his misdiagnosis by refusing to biopsy his lumps, and apparently thought it was more important to put him under for a teeth cleaning instead.
Furthermore, I am abhorred by Allison’s actions, wrecklessness, and medical negligence. I wouldn’t go to Allison, if she was the last vet on earth!
I would appreciate it, if this vet would lose my information and stop contacting me. I live in LA now, and I’m not interested in anything that she has to offer!!

Provided by YP.comI was recently out of the state in New Mexico for the birth of a new grandson when my 14 yr old Dachshund became very sick. I called Acorn Hills, as they have been my vet now for a short time. I spoke with Allison and she instructed me to take my Shelby to a local vet in town. Which I promptly did and received excellent care from Prairie Lake Veterinary Clinic in Clovis NM! What I’d like for you all to know is that I received calls from Acorn Hills to Check on Shelby and her well being! I was impressed! They go far and beyond to give good pet care!! Thanks for caring and checking in!!

Provided by YP.comI would like to share with you my experience with Acorn Hills Animal Center. This past Monday I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my ailing Border Collie down. Dr. Alison Pillsbury and her staff are absolutely amazing. She made all the difference in the world helping me get through this. My Brandy crossed over the rainbow bridge unrushed and peacefully, I just can't say enough about her. You really are missing out on the best if you go to another vet. Thank You Dr Pillsbury and staff.

Provided by YP.comDr. Alison Pilsbury is the most competent and compassionate vet we have known in 30+ years. The only reason we have ever taken our pets elsewhere in that time is that we lived out of the area.
