Swansboro High School provides educational programs for students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers classes in fine arts, math, English, social studies, science and foreign language. Its curriculum also includes physical education, library science and technology education. Swansboro High School s media center provides textbooks, reference materials, atlases, dictionaries, encyclopedias, newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school offers membership options for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society. It also maintains art, environmental and foreign language clubs. Swansboro High School provides several sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, softball, volleyball, wrestling, and track and field. The school is governed by Onslow County School System, which also operates several elementary, middle, high and alternative schools.
