Our dog spent one night there, summary

Our dog was attacked (6 puncture wounds)

We were not notified, not told at pick up

We paid entire emergency vet bill

Explanation "dog fights happen"

Please please stay away from this place (zero stars)

Taken our dogs there several times. Twice the requested grooming was " Forgotten" and not performed.Last time our female Pure Breed dog became impregnated, ( litter of 5) and we cannot get a straight answer from the staff on what breed the male dog might be .( need to know for future puppy owners, as we will be giving them away) The owner has not yet contacted us back after NUMEROUS attempts. Management is shady and evasive on any direct question.Staff appears young and inexperienced. Any questions on the health and care of your animal should be of prime concern, but apparentely it is not.At this time I would reccomend an alternative place to board your animals.

My dogs are here for boarding all the time. Grooming is a different story. First triend in Jam 2013 for grooming. They were both sent in for full grooming and flea baths. I founf them very Expensive ($45 more than I pay elsewhere)and my dogs still came back stinky with long nails and fleas. Not a happy customer for the grooming part

I left my two dogs there and was very happy. Most of the time when I have to board them the doberman loses weight. They both looked good when I picked them up. I expect them to be a little dirty they are living with other dogs. Dogs are dogs. Overall they were happy and healthy when I pick them up from a 5 day stay. Thank You!

I have been going to TWR almost since it opened, This the cleanest place I have ever brought my dog! Every time I go there our dog is given his medicine and his special diet on his own schedule!!! Unfortunatly our dog is getting older and I would know if he wasn't getting the attention he needs.....THANKS TAIL WAGGIN RANCH KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!

I letf my dogs there for 3 nights. Both dogs were groomed before going there.When I picked them up they were in bad shape. The maltease was a rust color on face and legs. She had to be shaved to become white agian. My Manchester Terrier had bumps all over her back and lost most her hair at this time. The help there are just kids, I will never take them there agian. I own a grooming shop in town and will not recomend the my clients either.

I left my three dogs for five days while I was out of town. Upon arriving they couldn't find my dogs paperwork and didn't have me fill out any on my newest puppy. When I picked the dogs up my Great Dane had cuts on his snout which were "because of the fence or maybe his cage".The people caring for my dogs didn't seem to know what had happened nor could they explain why my loving Dane was shaking at my feet. (he was fine the first time he stayed there)When my wife called for an explaination the manager hung up on her once and stated that our dog was "hostile" towards their staff. This was not meantioned when I picked them up. The owner is out of town on family business but will be contacted once they return. I will never take my dogs there again.

This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly & you can tell they genuinely love the dogs. I was able to get a same day appointment for grooming services & the groomer is absolutely fantastic! I was very impressed and will definately go back for all grooming or boarding/day camp needs. I highly recommend!!

I absolutely adore the care my dog gets at the "ranch". I have so much peace of mind, knowing that when I am at work, she has the best care. I have to admit I am extremely particular about who I leave my dog with and the staff at Tail Waggin Ranch, meets my standards very well. Excellent facility in every way. You won't be disappointed.

To anyone who bashes Tail Waggin Ranch, you do not know what you are talking about. The staff is very good and the groomer is awesome! Who cares if it is a knock off of anything. What matters is that your dog is cared for well. It makes a world of difference to know that your dog is not stuck in some very small kennel for hours. It also matters that you are not paying a la carte for everything your dog does, including playtime and giving medication like at some other places. Please do not bash somewhere you have never stepped foot into. Great job ranch hands! Keep up the good work! JM

Im not to sure this place is what it states on its website. Ive seen the reviews and thought I would give the place a try with my lab. Everytime ive watched on web cam the so called trained ranch hands are either standing around or playing with what seems to be their cell phones,not alot of physical interaction or socialization by ranch hands. I know a professional dog handler doesnt do those things. So it makes me wonder if they just hire anyone with no expierence of working with dogs other than maybe they own a dog. To me thats not the expierence I see stated on their website. The groomer is friendly and seemed to help me more than the person at the front desk, he seems to like his cell phone to. Maybe since the place is fairly new that over time they can work these problems out. Till then, ill save my money and leave my lab at home.

"State of the Art Facility" does not do the Tail Waggin Ranch justice!!! Not only is the facility exceptional (in fact, I was in awe during my initial tour), but the courteous professionalism of the entire staff, the pet socialization aspect, and the obvious heart felt connection the groomers initiate to make all of "our children" feel comfortable and secure means the world! I once watched my "boys" groomer hold a frightened new puppy customer for twenty minutes with 'mood music' in the background until he was at ease and able to be groomed without anxiety. Few would make the extra effort especially in tough economic times when the quantity of customers can mean more than the quality of care. I make it clear the Tail Waggin Ranch is well worth the drive to Swansboro regardless of where you reside. Once you visit the Tail Waggin Ranch, you and your pet will be forever loyal.Sincerely,Letitia Garner

This place is a knock off of the camp bow wow in new bern.

My two puppies have been there a few times since the beginning of August and we love it!! Very clean. We watch our dogs on the internet and there is always someone in the kennels with the dogs. My dogs are daschunds and they can be a hand full but the workers are very kind to them and us as well. My dogs are clean and smell great when I pick up. The owner is professional and the workers are too. I highly recommend this business!

My dogs spend all day playin while i'm at work! I really can't say enough about this establishment. Well ran and very CLEAN!

Took my dogs there for five days the staff was very nice and friendly and my dogs absolutly loved it. The staff treated my animals like they were there own. Would defently use there facility again.

My family includes our 2 dogs, We have boarded at a place in Jacksonville for years. What a difference! The ranch really takes extra special care of our pets. They came home clean and that has never been the case before. We can log onto there web site and watch them having fun in the play areas all day, And knowing they are playing during the day with the other dogs is great, Instead of locked up all day. Thanks Tail Waggin Ranch Your place is just what we have been looking for. A place that its all about the animals!!!!!!
