The people at Don's are amazing.. They said "bring in the part and we'll see if it needs to be replaced, they hooked it up, diagnosed it, even hooked all the wiring back up for the new one, tested it, said it was good, and it cost me less than 8% was those glossy commercial people with the pretty van were going to charge. They respect women and have smart men and women working for them. They treated me as intelligent and valuable and saved me time and money. It's hard to find anyone like that anymore, and I will tell everyone I know. After a Big Plumbing and HVAC company in the area disappointed-quoted many thousands of dollars and said i had to replace my furnace, and charged for diagnostics- someone told me to call Don's Hardware. they said bring in the part and we'll see if it needs to be replaced, they hooked it up, diagnosed it, even hooked all the wiring back up for the new one, tested it, said it was good, and it cost me less than 8% was those glossy commercial people with the van were going to charge.

I came in needing a foam air filter for a 35 year old garden tiller. The parts man said he would find me a filter or make me one. He found a chain saw filter that fit perfectly. I had gone to four places that had nothing close to what I needed. Unbelievable service

We took our old fan motor for a/c to Don's and they had a new better motor that would fit and they took the time to hook up all the wires and took the fan blade off of the old motor and put it on the new one for us! Saved alot of time and money going here instead of calling a repairman. We will definitely go back!

Do not go to the store within 30minutes of them closing.

I was referred to Don's through a sales person from a local Lowe's store. I needed parts for my Kenmore dryer. The salesman at Don's was very helpful, they had every part that I needed [cheaper than the Sears part store]. I was able to return a few parts that I ended up not needing with no hassle. They even gave me a free 2009 calendar. Great in stock inventory for ovens, lawn mowers, autos, etc. I'll be in this store a lot.

Don's was a fixture in Belleville for longer than I have been alive. There were fears among it's loyalists that with a move to Swansea and a new building, that the old Don's might go a bit, well, corporate.



Those fears are unfounded. While they may not have the biggest selection in the world, or carry as many items as some big chain stores, their service is second to none. Period. And if they have it, they will find it, retrieve it for you, and even help you understand how to install it.



Everything from wax rings for toilets, to o-rings for faucets, to retainier rings for lawnmower wheels, they know it. By the way, they have the largest selection of small engine parts, and small faucet parts, around. And they'll help you find exactly what you need. The cool part, they won't try to sell you more than what you need, nor let you leave without all the parts you will need.



Don's, still the best, the best service, reasonable prices, and now housed all under one roof...
