Provided by YP.comMy step son recently went down an embankment and was towed out by Dave, the owner of Boss Towing. The car was sideways and the tow truck hooked the harness up to the front of the car. My 17 yr old son watched in amazement as the tow truck proceeded to rip completey off the front bumper when pulling the car out. A police officer was a witness to this. The driver then took the bumper and shoved it into the back seat of the car, causing indentations in the leather seats. I can understand how there can be a legitimate dispute as to make sure that it was indeed the tow truck operators fault before they would pay for damage. However, this how this business responded. I called several times to let them know that my son witnessed it being pulled off. A cop witnessed it beign pulled off. AND the collision shop said it was obviously pulled off with the way the screws were stripped out. Here are the excuses I have had so far from the owner Dave and his assistant Christine. 1.Dave...I'm sure that bumper fell off as a result of the car going down the embankment. 2. Chris...We aren't going to pay for it because he (a 17 yr old minor) signed the waiver form before he was pulled out. 3.Chris....We will pay for it ONLY if the police report has in it that he witnessed the bumper being pulled off while towing. 4. Chris....We tried calling the cop and he won't be in until the following tuesday...after we talk to him we will square up. 5. Chris...I tried calling the cop several days in a row and he has not returned our call. This is all over a $288 claim. What a shame. This is no way to run a business. Now we both have to waste a half day off to go to small claims court...Go figure.
