I recently used Elegant Catering for a wedding reception. I bought the $11.95 per plate packege, enthused about the candelabras and greenry they were going to decorate the food table with. I had also ordered vegetarian mostocolli and 12 dozen chocolate chips and I was going to be assisted through the food-line with my new Husband. However, I was very disappointed. Granted, Ernie and his crew called me back with minutes of the intial phonecall to interview them and he immediately sent me out a flyer and a booklet of his package and policies. At the final meeting between my husband, my in-laws, Ernie, and I, we discussed how things were going to be at the reception, and there were no misunderstandings. At the reception, however, it was quite different. There were no candelabras and no greenery. He also did not decorate the cake table like he had promissed, for free. The crew workers threw fits, and none of them spoke english. The mostocolli had hamburger in it, and the crew was eating our food and drinking the pop that the bartender needed for mixed drinks. We had also ordered coffee, and it was not out for our guests to enjoy. We only had 2 dozen cookies, and we paid for 12. My husband and I have called him numerous times and actually have gone into his place to talk to him, and he insists that he did everything according to the way it was supposed to be. I did not spend $4,000 on his services and food for this. His service is shotty and I would not reccommend him to anyone interested in his catering. He does not have very good customer service. I am not trying to screw him over, I am merely trying to prove to him that he did not pull through on his end of the deal.
