Bridgeport Speedway is a spacious 5/8-mile high-banked dirt oval. Billed as “The Fastest Dirt Track in the East,” Bridgeport Speedway lives up to its name. The Bridgeport Modifieds, the speedway’s premier division, reach average speeds of well over 100 mph. The 5/8 mile track was built in 1972. While many famed race tracks in the surrounding area, such as Flemington, Reading, East Windsor, Nazareth, and Penn National are just only many fond memories, it is Bridgeport Speedway that has outlasted them all.
