Sweetwater Middle School provides classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education for students in grades six through eight. The school offers special education programs for students with learning difficulties. It conducts academic and personal counseling sessions in individual and group settings. Sweetwater Middle School provides career and technology programs in keyboarding and technology applications and education. The school also offers special programs for gifted and talented, homeless, bilingual and migrant students and for students with limited English proficiency. It provides various sports activities, such as football, volleyball, tennis and basketball. Sweetwater Middle School s library houses textbooks, magazines and reference materials for classroom assignments and projects. The school is governed by the Sweetwater Independent School District.
