In 1994, Air Conversion Technology introduced an innovative new piston cup material that increased the life of an oxygen concentrator compressor rebuild 25%. At that time, all concentrator compressors were manufactured with a tan colored piston cup material. The new material was easily identified by its black color. Eventually, the black piston cup became the standard OEM cup and the oxygen concentrator industry has since benefited from this innovation. Over the years our business grew, as Air Conversion assisted oxygen concentrator manufacturers with the technology needed to design and manufacture their own compressors. ACT also manufactures the key components needed for a longer life compressor. In 2004, an air compressor remanufacturing facility was added in Sylvania, Ohio. This facility rebuilds hundreds of compressors each month. Our mission Air Conversion Technology is to provide the oxygen concentrator industry with the best available compressor technology and the highest quality compressor components and rebuilds.
