Sophie does an amazing job even with hard to braid hair.

I am new to the Syracuse area and I was looking for a braiding shop and a few of my co workers recommended me to Dominik African Hair Braiding on 447 James Street. I wanted medium sized braids I picked out the braid size from a display they had and when I got a chance to look in the mirror the braids were much smaller than I wanted. A lot of braiding hair was used for each braid and the sections were parted very thin. I went in on Friday March 13th 2015 and its been 2 weeks since I got my hair done and 6 braids have fallen out and my real hair was in each of the braids that came out. I am very disappointed and upset because I have been getting my hair braided for many years and have never experienced my braids coming out along with my natural hair. I will never go back to this place again.

I had my hair done at this place. 160 bucks for box braids! Less then a week later not only was the fake hair coming out MY hair was coming out to! It looked nice but, good braids are suppost to make your natual hair grow not fall out!! I give this place two thumbs down!!!:~(!
