I've never known this as a family place. Then again I've only been going for a couple years. The food is exactly what you would expect; greasy, sloppy, pub food. It's not somewhere I would really want to go for dinner, but at the same time, if you're going out to a bar to eat, I'm not sure it's going to matter much. It fares well and is at least average compared to what other pubs serve. The beer selection is worth the trip, though. There are a few places in North Tacoma that would be a better fit for the true beer lover, but there are plenty of micros and the prices are really good. Happy Hour makes it even better. Bottom line: it's a pub. Treat it like one. Take it for what it is and you will be very pleased.

Good food at a fair price and the beer selection is pretty good too.

They have a ton of beers on tap, so it's a cool place to hang out if you really like beer.

Very loud and the food is only average at best.

This used to be our favorite family-friendly pub.....not the greatest decor, but they have a simply awesome list of beers on tap, and had a great family area (that was non-smoking before the non-smoking laws went into effect). But then they took the "family" area and converted it to high tables with high backless stools. No longer good for kids, even though they left normal tables and chairs in the "no minors" section. Not a fair treatment of their family-oriented customers, and we haven't been back since.
