Crooks, crooks, crooks

I bought a Groupon for front or rear brakes for $59. When I got the car home I noticed the e-brake didn't work, and on the way home there was a major clunking noise coming from the rear of the car. Took it in the next day and they charged me to fix it when they broke it.

Don't have any work done at this location

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BUCKY'...

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BUCKY'S! Bucky's in Fife completely destroyed my engine, burned it, took it apart and left it in the back of the car. They are not professionals. Manager Char was lying all the way and missliding with what was going on with the car. Now my car is not drive able. Take your car to the repair shop where they know how to repair but not to destroy cars!

This Buckys has got to be the ...

This Buckys has got to be the MOST unprofessional mechanic I have dealt with. I took my truck there to get a sensor replaced. He quoted me one price and then after I dropped off my car and got home, he called and said that it would be $50 more. Since the car was already there and I was all the way home I told him to go ahead and do the work. My truck was finished in a few hours and they didnt even call me to tell me it was done. I had to call them and he told me that it was ready but that it was now "idling funny". I had to go to work so he told me to bring the car back tomorrow and he would see what the problem was since it wasnt doing that when I dropped it off. I come back the next day and the guy wanted to act like he didnt tell me to come so he could check it out. The only thing he kept saying was he cant look at it without charging me for a diagnostic and there was nothing he could do about it. I stressed the fact that the car wasnt doing this until they touched it and he just kept saying that his hands were tied. He suggested that I call corporate and if they said that he could do it for free then he would. So I call corporate and speak with a customer service rep that said she would have the District Manager for the Tacoma area call me back. Here we are more than 2 weeks later and NO ONE has called me back and my truck still is idling funny. I'm convinced that they were negligent and did something to my truck. The fact that the Store Manager said to bring it back the next day and then acted as if he didnt remember that was just plain disgusting customer service.

I received exceptional service at the Tacoma Sprague Bucky\'s today. They were very helpful in helping repair my 1987 Honda Prelude. Since my old car was totaled and this new car was a gift, it needed some work. They were very professional and helpful, and provided top quality service. There was one man especially (I don\'t know his name - he had a goatee and was a bulky fella) who did a great job. I will certainly recommend Bucky\'s to my friends as a result of this positive experience. Thanks, Derrick Rhayn (rain)

Will come back here again and again!

The guys working at this Bucky's are great! They always treat me well, and don't talk down to me or try to scam me just because I am female. They take the time to show me exactly what is wrong with my car. I've followed Rich (the manager) from one Bucky's to another for years now - he knows what he's doing, and is a great guy. Contrary to what the previous reviewer said, I've found that their rates are typically cheaper than any other shop I've priced out.

thanks Buckys

Well, I have been there 2 times and it is just wonderful. Trisha is the greatest. She is so genuinely caring and strives to give good customer service, as do all of the mechanics. I will be a life-long Bucky’s fan because of them.”

No compaints here... Good car repair and low cost = Happy!

On the phone and in person, the service at Buckys Auto Repair was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I felt like they walked me through all the options available without giving me a hard sell towards the most expensive one. They don't have a great waiting area, so bring a good book or drop the car off and come back when the service is done. All around a great experience. I appreciated that they did not try to over complicate or over sell repairs that may not have been necessary for my situation. Good prices and great service.

Poor attitude, horrible customer service.

These guys will rip you off if they see a chance, the manager Rich is a total jerk, I was quoted around $50 to weld on my existing exhaust. Got the exhaust there, spoke with the gentleman at the counter, told him Rich said around $50, he told me to set my exhaust inside the bay. As soon as I came back with my exhaust I was met by a sweating toothless bald man screaming at me about how he "said $150" and didnt know who I was trying to BS. He then told me to get out of his shop. Total jerk, ridiculous prices. Take your business elsewhere.

Just Plain Underhanded

My brakes squeaked so I brought them into the Bucky's on Pacific in Tacoma and I was told that my brakes were shot and that I needed new rotors for a grand total of $700. I thought this was a little steep so I took it to another shop which told me that my brake pads were at 80% and my rotors were in specifications. The other shop told me my brakes squeaked a little because my brake pad material was stiff and that If I wanted softer brake pad material installed, they could do that for $381. ######I will never bring my car to a Bucky's again and I will be sure and let everyone I know to avoid them

Dishonesty, thy name is Bucky's...

We needed the brakes replaced. Just the front ones. I know cars and prices, but had to work, so I had my wife drop the car off. They quoted her $900! Needless to say, I then made time to visit the shop myself. They wanted to charge her four times the actual cost of the best available parts and changed their minds considerably on price when they weren't dealing with a young woman carting two children around. I bought the best parts and they installed them. All in all, the total cost was $145.00. That is a difference of about $750. I call that the "taking advantage" premium. I'll never go there again. You should stay away as well.

On time and on budget

RICH, IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND HAS FIXED ALL MY CARS FOR ME. HE DOESN'T CHARGE YOU LIKE THE DEALERS FOR NORMAL REPAIRS. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A SHOP LIKE YOUR DAD USED TO GO TO OR WORK AT, THIS IS THE SHOP I WOULD RECOMMEND!
