...these folks have been there for many years and jerry is always available to answer questions about the more uncommon exotics he carries or to assist with landscape design ideas....come in with your area roughly figured and what you're interested in and he'll help find the perfect plant. most of what they carry is not native to the region obviously, but you would be hardpressed to find anything invasive so no worries there. if your looking for something unusual but don't know what, this is the place. if you've got a few minutes to spare after a day at point defiance park, it would be well worth the effort to stop in on the way back out...... I frequent most of the other local nurseries and if the relative snooty-ness of their staff has been off-putting at times for you as well, you will find jungle fever a kind, airy oasis...

A fun place to shop, window shop, get ideas for landscaping. The staff are knowledgable and the experience is fun to look and dream of your own back yard.

This place is a little like little shop of horrors, and I think I may have seen a venus fly trap on my last visit (really). They offer unusual plants, exotics I guess. I purchased four "hotlips" from them this summer and they are doing splendid (a salvia variety). I do not get down to them as often as I would like, considering the interesting offerings that they have. I even think that I spotted a nice water garden collection. Definitely recommend to any avid gardener. So, the only downfall is their out-of-the-way location.
