I went in to get a smog check. I waited for 30 min before the guy behind the counter rudely said, "Its not happening today bud." I took my truck by the next day and figured I would leave it and to have them call me when it was done. I waited until they were about to close and I called them. My car was finished. It failed do to visual inspections. This place offers poor customer service with long waits. I will never take any car there again.

I can't really express how grateful my husband and myself are to this shop. My hubby was getting ready to leave for a deployment and the last thing we needed was for our 2006 pt to die on us. But like most things, the last thing you need to happen is always the first. Our car was overheating for know apparent reason and the dealership in Bako quoted us $700 plus to test the car and then repair the problem. Well I'm so glad we didn't go with them because they were trying to repair parts that were not broken. Harrison took the time to test each part and narrowed the problem down to I wire. They took wonderful care of us and were very very fair with the price. My hubby is now gone on his deployment and feels confident that we have a safe car to drive while he away. Thank you guys!

I went to get a engine diagnostics. I was only person inside and had to wait 10 minutes while guy behind counter did not acknowledge me and proceeded to type on his computer. Then he looked up and said rudely " You wanna smog check". I said no a engine diagnostics. He said rudely "I cant do that for about 2 or 3 days". I said wow I waited 10 minutes for that. He snapped back "ya and so what?!?!" Well I walked out and drove to a shop in Bakersfield and they got my money to do diagnostics AND fix my car! If Harrison shop thinks because they are 1 of maybe 2 or 3 shops in Taft they cant treat people bad, well they are wrong! They lost my business AND the many people I deal with on a daily basis business because I will be sure to tell them how they treat people. No wonder the "Shop Taft" slogan does not work. In Bakersfield you are treated better because they have to compete with so many other shops AND they want your business!

Highly recommended repair shop! Our Honda Odyssey died on the 5 freeway and we were towed to Harrison Street Automotive in Taft, CA on a Thursday evening. Rick and the guys at the shop stayed late to do a diagnosis and then they continued on Friday. The challenge in Taft is that they are 30+ miles away from a big city (Bakersfield) where most parts are found. It took several days to resolve our problems because the parts were difficult to find and had to be shipped in.



Through all of this, the guys at Harrison Street Automotive never gave up and did everything possible to get us back on the road, including working overtime and on Saturday, driving 2hrs to pick up parts (several times), and giving our repair priority since we were stuck in town until the repair was done. The work was professional and there was much more time spent than what we were charged for. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who lives in or is passing through Taft, CA.
