First and foremost the hotel did not provide the room we reserved more than a month prior. Contrary to their perception, a double room in lieu of a king is no where near an upgrade. However, because we had ZERO options for other accommodations in the town we accepted the double rooms.



Per the itinerary that PRICELINE provided, check in time was available at 1:00 pm. When we arrived at the hotel at approximately 2:30 pm the rooms were not available as reserved nor cleaned and ready.



We were told they were getting ready. We were given the key and we left to eat. We were contacted during lunch and notified that we would need to return to the office. The king room we were given was currently occupied and we would need to also switch that for a double room.



We returned from eating around 5:30 pm. Upon entering our room we found holes in the wall that were filled with toilet paper, dead bugs in picture frames, blinds that were broken, blood on a pillow case and a door that was obviously not securely in place. With this information and a refusal to rest in that environment at approximately 5:45 pm, we were forced to drive 35 miles to the nearest available. hotel.



If the hotel nor Priceline deem these circumstances warrant a refund that is a poor reflection of the manner in which both conduct business.
