I am a caregiver and had my patient’s appointment canceled and was told they would call back. After waiting a month I called them and they scheduled another appointment five months out. I took my patient there today and they didn’t have him on the list. They didn’t call me. They said they can’t even reschedule him because they don’t have a dentist (or even a prospect) that takes his insurance. Many “I apologize” but it’s been a year and he hasn’t had his teeth cleaned. I would look somewhere else if you could.

Make sure you actually READ EACH WORD of the bundle of papers you're asked to sign BEFORE you have anything done! My upper 2 front teeth needed fillings behind each tooth. As I waited in the dental chair I was given a short stack of papers to sign. The font was so small it looked like an ant walked over an ink pad, then walked across the papers. I did not have my reading glasses with me, but I trusted their professionalism and signed them. I was then given a couple more forms to sign, which I did. This was followed by yet another set of forms that I signed. EACH of these forms was summarized by a personable dental assistant prior to signing them. After the work was finished, I went to the reception desk to sign out. I was told to come through the door on my right and have a seat at the side of the desk. It was then that I was asked to pay $1300 for my procedure. No wonder I was asked to "sit down"! I explained I don't have that kind of money laying around, but that I could make payments. I was able to come up with $300 for that day, but I had to go home, get it and bring it back. About a week later I received a GE Credit Card in the mail with a balance of $1,000, complete with an interest rate of 26% IF I did not pay the entire amount within 1 year. I don't remember EVER requesting another credit card, but Coast Dental made sure THEY had THEIR fee paid in full before I left their office. Not long after that, I received my statement from Coast Dental and noticed that the fillings I had were TEMPORARY FILLINGS!!! It was then that I realized I was going to HAVE TO GO BACK and get permanent fillings some time later and owe God-only-knows how much more money. NONE of this was explained during my first visit. I knew right then and there that I would NEVER go back. I was able to pay off the credit card in 12 months, but it wasn't "easy". I will NEVER refer any of my friends, family or YOU to Coast Dental.
